Journey To The West (Video/Part 01)

Journey To The West journal. Part of my journey from Chengdu, Sichuan in CHINA towards New Delhi in INDIA is this train ride. Its a T22 train travels from Chengdu in Sichuan province to Lhasa in Tibet/Xizang province. It took nearly 2 days to reach Lhasa.

We started our journey from Chengdu on November 26, 2011. Approximate around 9pm the train depart from the Chengdu Northern Train station... the train passing by Shaanxi, Qhinghai, Tibetan Plateau (Gobi Desert) before reaching Lhasa the train passing the Tanggula Pass, it took us up above 5000 meters above sea level. It was intriguing to know that we're actually traveling in a train passing elevation more than Kinabalu Mountain in Sabah, Malaysia... nice.

The landscape changes drastically, from rivers & mountains during train ascent towards Xining to barren land tibetan plateau when enter Qinghai province and Gobi Desert. From there we can see snow everywhere, animals such as horse, sheep, vultures... tibetan antelope and not forgetting tibetan mascot itself YAK.

We reaches Lhasa, Tibet/Xizang around 4pm on November 28, 2011. Surely this train journey going to be the most memorable train journey in my life.

BatuKaras & Green Canyon

We flew to Jakarta for our friends album launch (MONKEY BOOTS) and visit close friends in Bandung... ended up going to Pangandaran. We hangout at BatuKaras. The place was awesome, having lots of water sports, surfing... have BALI vibe but extremely quiet. It's more relax and calm.

But highlights of my journey is The Green Canyon. Never been to caves before or any gorges my entire life. The experience is amazing... intrigue by the landscape, the journey (you need to swim in order to go to the far end) the story and experiencing this with friends is speechless.

Thanks Ugeng, Ikka & Ndik... for a nature/landscape/culture lover like me, It's a huge treat... I'll never stop promoting BatuKaras & The Green Canyon from now on. If you guys planning to go there again... do count me in. Hahaha...

Weekend Ride... :)

Hi,

It has been a while. Some of you might waiting for The Journey To The West Journal summary. But, I'm in NO mood to write. Pretty occupied with music and mountain biking I guess. So, this entry would be a video about my recent trail riding with friends. It's part of huge Plentong trail... so, we decided to ride around 20km passing by Lakes and Lime Stone Quarry.

Ended riding around 12pm... just nice for lunch.

3 hours riding... lots of fun.
